Meet the Champagne Family!!!

Sunday, November 30, 2008

I just knew today's celebration was going to be something quite special... and I was not disappointed!
M
eet the Champagne family, joined together as one at the Botanical Gardens... and it could not have been a more beautiful afternoon.
The bride was simply stunning in her new gown, and her new name.
The ceremony was filled with love, joy, passion... as Veronica and Larry exchanged their vows just before the sun set on the Sensory Gardens venue. The sounds of an elegant string duo filled the air as the bride literally floated down the garden path. I have never seen a groom more anxious to get to his new wife to be (See image below...!)
It was amazing! Larry also included the three girls into the ceremony with diamond dragonfly necklaces, as he exchanged vows to each of them as well, one at a time! I'm telling you... amazing!
With rich colors of champagne and orange, with a touch of pink thrown in, all I could keep saying was... "how elegant". What a way to "do it up!"
Following the ceremony, friends and family dined at Ruths Chris' Steakhouse (Thank you both for the steak dinners! WOW!) in downtown San Antonio followed by dancing into the late evening. The new couple planned an evening at the Hilton River Walk, followed by time with friends and family before heading back to their new home in Seattle as a new family!

I believe nothing happens by chance... and this week I met a bride that believes in the same. We were meant to capture this day for them with blessed images... as they were meant to bless my life with another reminder of how fantastic it is to be with the one you love!
You guys ROCK!!!

Veronica & Larry are engaged!!!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Today I had the pleasure of meeting my new bride Veronica, and her "on the ball" groom Larry. This is our first meeting face to face, since the happy couple come to me all the way from Seattle. The big day is this Saturday, and they surely wanted some engagement portraits prior to the wedding and I just couldn't wait! They are just the coolest people ever! So much in love that I could feel it through to my toes!!! I cant tell you how many times I could hear Veronica whispering in Larry's ear... "I love you so much". It was incredible! Every time I would get close to them I could just see it. They show so much respect for one another, so much passion. This... this is what I love to photograph. People in love!
To top it all off... along come the kids! Three beautiful young ladies that kept me laughing throughout the entire shoot! They are SO excited about Saturday I thought they would bust. Any mention of the wedding and they were all smiles. Then, as we head towards the grass for some further pictures, Veronica proceeds to tell me that there is going to be one more addition to the family! So, in an instant, the shoot goes from engagement session, to family portraits, to maternity pictures. How fabulous is that!
Thank you for spending the afternoon with me guys!!! It was so much fun... can't wait until Saturday!

Veronica & Larry wanted one picture that captured the girls REALLY being themselves... too funny!!!

Family Portrait Time~

Sunday, November 23, 2008

As the weather grows colder and the evening draws near, a family of 4 followed me to Brakenridge Park this afternoon to shoot portraits for the walls of their new home. But to me... this is not just another family, this couple is like a part of my own. You see, the beautiful woman in the picture is Crystal. And, Crystal hired me to capture her engagement portraits, which turned into her bridal portraits, which turned into their wedding. She was my first bride to push for a trash the dress session... and now, she and her beautiful crew have come together once again in front of my lens. This time the whole gang was here, kids and all.
Talk about a fabulous family! Always impeccably dressed, always with a smile and a hug. In fact... today I even got a hug from the little ones. My heart j
ust melted!!!
Thanks for the great time this cloudy Sunday afternoon. As always, it was a pleasure!
