Fallen Angel Photo Shoot...

Monday, September 10, 2012

There are more than enough posts where I can easily ramble on and on about the subject at hand...

Super excited to share with you the images from today's shoot. Thank you to Jennifer Boatwright my super cool model who braved flying bugs, crawling bugs, cold stream waters, a nice little tumble down a muddy slope, and the vultures of the cliffs. :) Also, thank you to Miss Amy Schaming for your amazing make up and hair talents. I can't wait to work with you again on future projects! Last but never least, HUGE thank you to my hubby for carting my crap up and down that muddy slope, setting up all the props, and keeping me in good spirits. I don't know how I could ever do a shoot without you.

Enjoy...

The Elizabeth O'Conner Trilogy Begins...

Saturday, September 8, 2012

Today the skies were gray and the rains fell around noon and never let up until well after the sun set. For me this was a welcome site, not for the moisture but for the water puddles. You see today I had only one shot to take advantage of the stagnant water the storms left behind and shoot the first series of images for Author Vivian Ditzler.

Vivian and I go back a few years while we were both stationed in Germany. We became fast buddies sharing everything from late nights out in K-Town at the famous Chucks, to a mutually strange fetish with singer Adam Lambert (whom we both met at a concert he gave in Stuttgart) When she came to me asking if I would take her PR images for the publisher of her new book I was thrilled! And now here she is, 2 books later with her new Trilogy to start release early 2013.

Today I worked on the bloody angel wing feathers that are to be floating in the water. Tomorrow I head out to Lexington with  a fiery red head model, a MUA and hair designer and an assistant to shoot the fallen angel, letters to an angel shoot. I designed the set and chose everything from the model to the make up colors to the hair style. It is going to be an amazing day!!!!

Until I can show some of the images, here is the new FB Timeline I created for fun for Vivian. The background images are all mine! :)

Enjoy...

A Touch of Immortality~

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

A few weeks have past without a post, this I must apologize for. You see, being a military spouse, FRG Leader, business owner, all can become a little overwhelming at times. The obligations, the meetings, the run here and run there... whew! But in the middle of all this craziness there lies peace. Peace in the arms of the one I love. Peace in my military friends and those who I have had the chance to meet over these last 5 years. I love these people with all my heart! I am honored to be asked to take images of newborns, maternity, baptisms, and all other exciting events that happen in peoples lives. And, although I have decided to take a break these last few months to travel and spend time enjoying Europe, I miss my camera and the magic it creates!

Life happens in a blink of an eye... that's what Ive always been told. And its so true. So every moment that I spend with these amazing people I cherish.

Recently, another military spouse phoned me to capture images for a publicity shoot and book deal for her first novel. I was so excited! This is something new for me. And although I have worked with models, musicians, etc... I can now add novelist to my resume.

Her book was just released, and I was just given my own personal copy... and I cant wait to read it! Thank you to Mrs. Vivian Ditzler, for your belief and trust in such a big event in your life. It was a pleasure!!! Here's to you girl!!!
