Meet the Nassers...

Sunday, March 1, 2009

It felt so wonderful to be behind my lens again... after months off to repair and recover, we spent our afternoon with Laura and Mark Nasser. Remember my couple from the vineyard?
An intimate ceremony held at La Villita with their reception at the Dashielle House on the River Walk. It was warm, inviting, and wonderful! I love hydrangeas, which were her chosen flowers from bouquets to centerpieces, marked with roses and other florals... beautiful! Children ran like the wind that whipped through the courtyards while guests enjoyed butler passed appetizers under the sun setting sky. A school friend kept the music in the air from the ceremony through the celebrations well into the evening.
Thank you Laura and Mark for inviting us to be a part of your incredible day... an honor as always!
Sneak peek time~

Meet the Wolicki's!!!

Monday, December 29, 2008

I have this thing lately with out of state brides it would seem, with this being my 4th in 3 months! The happy couple comes to me from Lawton, Oklahoma, how exciting!!!
I stand by what I preach... it's not the size of your celebration, the guest list count, the decor, or the venue that matters most. It is of no matter how grand or intimate the event. It is your wedding day, whether two hours long or the entire day... and that alone is reason to celebrate with fabulous images!
So it was off to the courthouse this afternoon f
or the union of the Wolicki family! We followed it up with pictures at the missions, which was a great learning experience for us for future bridal shoots. The grounds are beautiful, rich in history and emotion.
It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with the two of you and your fabulous family!
Safe travels back to Oklahoma~

Thank you for a great year!!!

A dog runs through the Christmas lights and gets all tangled up. Most people would say, "Oh, poor thing. Let's get her out." Me... I grab the camera and snap a shot then turn it into a Holiday Card! She is too funny!

Thank you for making 2008 a fantastic year for DB Images Photography. We have grown some, struggled some, had extreme highs and all too sad lows. But we survived, and we are stronger than ever. So here's to you, OUR CLIENTS! Who are the best clients a photographer could ever have. We look forward to 2009, with our move to Europe, 2 destination weddings already booked and many more on the way I'm sure! New website, new products, new-new-new and exciting things in store.
Hold on to you hats folks... you ain't seen nothing yet!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

New Favorite thing...

Friday, December 19, 2008

Today I spent the better half in traffic school... it sucks! Yes, can you believe that I drove a bright red sports car for 3 years, not one ticket. I buy an SUV and I get one 2 weeks later! I guess I can't use the two "c's" to get out of tickets here like you can in Vegas... LOL! Don't ask!
So, now I have decided to
take a break, get some food and read a little of my favorite magazine: GRACE ORMONDE Wedding Style. One day I will be in this fabulous publication... gotta have goals!
The images are stunning, the ideas endless. So many beautiful things to look at... you have to love great inspiration.
Tomorrow I have Breanna... a high school senior with a great attitude and fun look! This should be a great shoot! Oh, Eric missed the engagement shoot in California yesterday, anyone seen Vegas lately, SNOW? I miss all the fun stuff!
I'm looking forward to the mail in the am, new business cards, new press books and a new coffee table book for my hubby for Christmas. Photographers just have th
e greatest jobs EVER!

Lisa & Jamie~

Monday, October 20, 2008

Meet Lisa and Jamie... a hip, trendy couple that have three children (you would never know it!) and a marriage spanning 20 years. God Bless em!
Like most of us, they have spent a greater part of the waking hours
on family and business, never taking the time to capture some memories of just themselves, for themselves. I'm not talking cool pix shots here, not that there is anything wrong with cool pix folks~ I'm talking fun pictures that really show off their personality... and isn't it oh so fabulous!!!!
So Lisa phones me 2 days ago
for our consultation and she asks about what to wear.... great question, and I love a client who listens. Take notes people... if you ask me for great colors, then don't be afraid to wear some!!!
They showed up slamming, in two different numbers that kept me jumping with ideas. So, it's now 5am and if my hub
by sticks his head out the bedroom one more time I think I am on restriction! LOL!!!
Here are those pictures you two... enjoy!

This is such a cool shirt!!!

I love this face!!!

Oh, you just know I couldn't resist this pictures! It is adorable!!!

And this one is just for me... thanks for playing along Lisa!
