It's been too long...

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Has it really been since August of last year since I've last posted anything on my blog???
It has, and I'm so ashamed! :(

It's been quite the year, and although being swamped with life is no excuse, the simple fact that I haven't had any images to post would be the actual truth. After a few client issues, I decided to take some time off from shooting. Take some time for just me. Time to "re-group" if you will? And now, I'm back and ready to shoot a little again.

Baby steps...

I have a couple of shoots to post that I have done recently, but instead of overwhelming my blog with 4 posts in one day, I will split them up and give you a little more eye candy through out the week.

Todays post is from a mother/ daughter shoot I did last evening under the golden spring Texas sun, and it was gorgeous out!!!

Enjoy! They are simply beautiful!

A dog runs through the Christmas lights and gets all tangled up. Most people would say, "Oh, poor thing. Let's get her out." Me... I grab the camera and snap a shot then turn it into a Holiday Card! She is too funny!

Thank you for making 2008 a fantastic year for DB Images Photography. We have grown some, struggled some, had extreme highs and all too sad lows. But we survived, and we are stronger than ever. So here's to you, OUR CLIENTS! Who are the best clients a photographer could ever have. We look forward to 2009, with our move to Europe, 2 destination weddings already booked and many more on the way I'm sure! New website, new products, new-new-new and exciting things in store.
Hold on to you hats folks... you ain't seen nothing yet!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hilary & William Are Married~

Saturday, December 6, 2008

Two weekends, two weddings, both FABULOUS!!! I am so blessed to have just the best brides ever, I tell ya! Today I met my bride Hillary, after 2 weeks of conversations via the internet and phone. Her wedding, a simple yet intimate affair with friends and family at the fountains of the McNay Museum. I have been there many times prior, but none until today were weddings. It could not have been a more beautiful day. The sun was bright with few clouds, a light breeze and perfect temperatures that made for a most comfortable afternoon.
As I imagined, Hilary looked beautiful
as she walked the garden path of the McNay to her groom waiting waterside. One of the most unique parts... their broadcast on live webcam to family overseas who could not attend in person. They were able to still experience the excitement thanks to technology. Oh, did I mention that William is an IT guy? LOL!!!
Thank you both for honoring
me by allowing my attendance as a welcomed guest, and your photographer.

Veronica & Larry are engaged!!!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Today I had the pleasure of meeting my new bride Veronica, and her "on the ball" groom Larry. This is our first meeting face to face, since the happy couple come to me all the way from Seattle. The big day is this Saturday, and they surely wanted some engagement portraits prior to the wedding and I just couldn't wait! They are just the coolest people ever! So much in love that I could feel it through to my toes!!! I cant tell you how many times I could hear Veronica whispering in Larry's ear... "I love you so much". It was incredible! Every time I would get close to them I could just see it. They show so much respect for one another, so much passion. This... this is what I love to photograph. People in love!
To top it all off... along come the kids! Three beautiful young ladies that kept me laughing throughout the entire shoot! They are SO excited about Saturday I thought they would bust. Any mention of the wedding and they were all smiles. Then, as we head towards the grass for some further pictures, Veronica proceeds to tell me that there is going to be one more addition to the family! So, in an instant, the shoot goes from engagement session, to family portraits, to maternity pictures. How fabulous is that!
Thank you for spending the afternoon with me guys!!! It was so much fun... can't wait until Saturday!

Veronica & Larry wanted one picture that captured the girls REALLY being themselves... too funny!!!
